Other aspects of teacher training and retreats:

It is a practical course, which enables students to learn how to correct and adjust physically and to practise the art of teaching. There is an emphasis placed on Pranayama, meditation and philosophy, allowing qualified teachers to complete the course with a good grounding of the 8 limbs of yoga.

The course is intended to wake up mind body and lift the spirit. As the knowledge from our observation begins to flow, sharing this first hand knowledge with others when teaching is a natural and most enjoyable progression.

Here is the training program and syllabus outline for the yoga teaching diploma certificate, certified by the Yoga Alliance, an internationally acknowledged certificate. Each candidate has an attendance card, which they present at their assessment at the end of each module/term. The complete course consists of 6 modules, which may be completed, in not less than two years but no more than four.

To complete a module students need to have attended:
1. The weekly teacher training class for one term
2. A second weekly class, at the yoga centre, or their local class
3. 3 days of residentials or yoga days for each of the modules 1-3
4. 5 days of residentials or yoga days for each of the modules 4-6
5. A term of philosophy classes
6. A certified first aid course (these are usually run on the residentials or on yoga days)
