Friday 27th – Sunday 1st March 2009

Cober Hill opened as a guesthouse in 1920 to provide a centre for residential courses and they are particularly sympathetic to groups like ours.  From its elevated position there are panoramic views of the unspoilt coast line.  It is a short walk to the sea and you can continue along the coastal path.  On the west side are the north Yorkshire moors.  This really is a sanctuary for peace, refreshment and inspiration

Whatever your ability you will be most welcome at this weekend. Ruth and John’s teaching is a source of inspiration both physically and spiritually and their approach is both practical and spontaneous.

In her teens, Ruth White had chronic back problems and as she put it fell at the feet of a master, BKS Iyengar. He showed her how to release the pain and strengthen the area. She was so inspired by his teaching she followed him to Puna, India and after two years was told by Iyengar to go and teach. Today she runs a thriving Yoga Centre in Cheam, Surrey and Shipton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire.

Maxine Geary
is an experienced Karuna yoga teacher who has a clear, precise and friendly approach to teaching, with a keen emphasis on encouraging students to work to their own level of ability.

Louise Hebblewhite is an experienced Karuna yoga teacher with a big personality, who brings warmth and fun to her teaching, together with a great awareness & understanding of the postures.
