A marvellous and inspiring teacher who found his unique approach through the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli

Marc Woolford
" I believe Yoga is mostly about developing awareness so that we can respond intelligently to what is going on right this moment, rather than developing fixed responses that may not serve our current needs.

When our actions become conscious, the insights we gain can transform the way we move, breathe, and eventually the way we live our lives..."

I have developed my understanding of yoga through extenstive explorations inspired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli as well as by others that have been called to further her work.

Time is given to becoming aware of the relationships between the forces of gravity operating through the body and the movements of the breath. The postures can then build from these relationships with a glorious sense of expanding out from the very core of the body - 'undoing' and elongating the spine in the process.

Marc, your love for the practise and kind tutelage has had a profound effect on my yoga. From the feet I now experience an integration that has allowed my spine and whole body to feel light, a perfect 'undoing', a wholeness and realisation of allowing the body to find its own intelligence from the inside out. Heartfelt thanks and appreciation. - Cathy Richardson

Marc, over the 10 day yoga retreat in Goa, I discovered my spine, surprising myself with a new found flexibility. A love for yoga and a yearning for yoga practise has emerged under your guidance. Your passion and dedication created a truly wonderous yoga experience. beanneditai (blessings). - Rowena Hennigan

DUNCTON MILL RETREAT

Duncton Mill is a hamlet near Petworth, a hidden jewel nestling at the foot of the glorious South Downs.

Surrounded by peaceful lakes, extensive woodland and an organic farm, we are only a short step from the South Downs Way.

The retreat is a very comfortable, extremely high quality residential centre, with gorgeous surroundings and a wonderful workspace.
There are a maximum of 18 people attending. Rooms are shared (twin or double, so room for couples and the occasional non participating partners), and there are single occupancy options available for a supplement of £35 subject to availability.
The food is absolutely stunning (there is a rather special chef that comes to cater for these retreats) and most diets can be catered for.
There are wood burning fires, some lovely local walks, and there is even a heated outdoor swimming pool.

Retreats dates:
£255.00
29th Feb -2nd March 2008
7th-9th November 2008

Goa dates here

The price is inclusive of all tuition, food and accommodation (shared twin rooms).

If you would like a room to yourself there are two small single rooms available for no extra cost (booked on a first come first served basis) or you can have a twin room to yourself for a supplement of £45 for the weekend (subject to availablitly)

For couples - some of the rooms can be made up as doubles (by prior arrangement) -

If you wish to bring your partner but they don't want to do the yoga, there is enough room for a few non-participating partners at the place - they might appreciate the opportunity to have a very relaxing weekend break at Duncton Mill - enjoying the comfort, the countryside, the company and the food...
