LYRICAL GRACE
Lyrical Grace
The music of G.S. Sachdev has always brought to mind the timeless poems of Lao Tzu and the primordial spirit of the Tao. It is through transcendental music and poetry, says wisdom of old, that natural creation is preserved, the true mysteries explained, and man restored to an original simplicity and to his immortal soul.
None more so than in Lyrical Grace
" Contemplate the ultimate void.
Remain truly in quiescence.
Inner harmony is supreme.
Things are unceasingly moving and restless.
Yet each one is proceeding back to the origin.
Proceeding back to the origin is quiescence
To be in quiescence is to return to the essence of being ."
Sachdev says:
" After having performed for many years, the forms of the raga have become part of me. I know longer think of them: if I was still in a thinking mode, the music would never be free. Many times when I merged in the music, I become thought free. The music simply takes off and like the swan I fly along with it."

LYRICAL GRACE
GS Sachdev :
Needing only an attentive and open mind, the discerning listener soon discovers that although Sachdev is categorised as a classical Indian flautist and has maintained an unwavering respect for classical Indian idioms, nonetheless, he musically lures us in to sentiments of universality and on toward a great heated oneness with all things. In so doing, he transcends the merely Indian aesthetic to achieve a far reaching, international appeal. Essentially he invites those from all walks of life to transcend the confines of culture, class and country to join him in the celebration of purity, joy, serenity and innocence, the universal gifts of the spirit.
Lyrical Grace expresses this fully.
Use this for yoga practice, to deepen the experience or as accompaniment to relaxation or meditation.
Raga Jaijaivanti - This raga praises and adores beauty, during which, each of its three movements tells part of a story. Throughout the unaccompanied opening movement or alap, the lover first looks and sees a goddess in his beloved. Gradually the beloved begins to respond to the lover. The heart moves and between them an aura of fantasy is created; moods of joy and pain rise and fall.
Raga Hamsadhwanu - This raga , performed as the encore, is a unique expression of pure imagination. It takes one soaring higher and higher toward lofty peaks as if on the wings of a swan. It is a song representing a mythological flight of freedom.
