Live on Earth is a two CD album from chant master Krishna Das which exemplifies his devotional singing. The kirtans (devotional chanting of the names of the divine) include such beautiful titles as Namah Shivaya, Rama Bolo Hanuman Puja and Sita Ram.
The instrumentation on the albums use harmonium percussion, bansuri flute, ektar and a vocal accompaniment from the Kosmic Kirtan Posse who offer the vocal response to the chant from Das.
"Live" is a celebration of devotional chant from Krishna Das and tyhe sense of fun and joy come through every track. So it really is an uplifting album to use in a group and join in with.
The CDs come with a booklet that offers the translation of the chants and the whole running time is around 140 minutes.
